Maine Lobstering and The Ghost Trap: Saturday, October 18, 1-3pm

Ever wondered what it’s really like to work as a Maine lobsterman? Join us this Saturday from 1-3 p.m. when local author K. Stephens will share both fictional excerpts from her award-winning novel, The Ghost Trap, and a factual presentation on the nitty-gritty details of lobstering. She will cover topics such as how lobster traps work, how bugs (slang term for lobsters) are measured, and how fishing territories were established and are maintained. Accompaning her reading will be short video clips from the DVD Maine Bugging. K. will be available for questions and signings after the talk. Books will be available for sale, or feel free to bring your own copy.
